Advanced AMS IC Design School 2025 Attracts Global Talent
28-07-2025
The Seasonal School on Advanced Analogue and Mixed-Signal (AMS) IC Design 2025, organised by UNINOVA, concluded after a seven-week in-person programme hosted at NOVA FCT.
The initiative received over 300 international applications, from which 80 participants were selected. The course delivered more than 250 hours of training, mostly practical, and targeted master’s final-year students, PhD candidates, and early-career engineers with backgrounds in electronics and microelectronics.
The curriculum focused on advanced CMOS technologies—N28 FD-SOI, N22 Bulk, and N16 FinFET—and was supported by speakers and instructors from academia and industry, including contributors from Renesas, Powertools, PETsys, Synopsys, AurASEMI, and Start2Scale.
The training was co-funded by UNINOVA through the Portuguese Semiconductor Competence Centre (POEMS), along with the European Space Agency, NOVA FCT, the IEEE Portugal Section, FCT, and the European Union.
