About

POEMS is the Portuguese Competence Centre in Semiconductors, a cutting-edge action under the Chips for Europe Initiative , and directly addressing critical needs outlined in the National Semiconductors Strategy.

 

To meet the current challenges in the semiconductor sector, POEMS aims to:

  • check icon

    Offer advanced training on skills and practices in chip design, advanced packaging and emerging semiconductor areas;

  • check icon

    Support industrial stakeholders in developing semiconductor solutions;

  • check icon

    Facilitate access to the European Network of Chips Competence Centres, the EU Chips Design Platform, and the Pilot Lines;

    Support access to the EU Chips Fund and private investments, including venture capital.

POEMS empowers Portugal’s semiconductor industry by fostering collaborations and consolidating resources.

The consortium is aligned to overcome the technological challenges in these domains, propelling Portugal towards a leadership position in the European semiconductor industry.
