The Semiconductors at School programme brings microelectronics and semiconductor science into basic and secondary classrooms through hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and teacher training. Its goal is to spark curiosity among young people and bridge the future talent gap in this fast-growing sector.

POEMS is developing educational kits that allow students to explore the principles of microelectronics and semiconductors through practical experiments, creative challenges and discussion opportunities. Teachers will benefit from dedicated training sessions that equip them with updated scientific knowledge and pedagogical tools to integrate semiconductor topics into classroom activities.
Outreach & Engagement
To reach wider audiences, POEMS organises public demonstrations and events at science centres across Portugal, engaging non-technical visitors with the fascinating world of microelectronics and semiconductors. These outreach activities aim to make advanced technology accessible for everybody, inspiring curiosity and awareness of the role of semiconductors in society.
