120 participants in online course on Thin-Film Optical Filter Engineering

The University of Minho delivered an online training course on “Thin-Film Optical Filter Engineering: From Design to Characterisation”, aimed at strengthening skills in optical and photonic technologies.

The course was structured into five modules, covering the full process from design to characterisation of thin-film optical filters, and it was designed to provide both theoretical foundations and applied knowledge relevant to research and industrial contexts.

In total, the course attracted 121 registered participants, reflecting strong interest in the topic. This online initiative contributes to POEMS’ broader mission of expanding access to specialised training and supporting skills development within the semiconductor and photonics ecosystem.
