Celebrating Innovation: Exognis Wins the Inaugural POEMS Start-up Award
15-07-2026
Exognis has been selected as the winner of the first edition of the POEMS Start-up Award. Exognis takes a groundbreaking approach to industrial condition monitoring by harnessing state-of-the-art magnetic sensor technology (specifically, magnetic tunnel junctions) and redefining how industries approach predictive maintenance.
In industrial environments, where downtime carries a heavy cost, the ability to predict failure before it happens is one of the most critical challenges. However, traditional monitoring often requires invasive, costly, and complex installations.
Exognis’ solution differentiates itself through non-invasive deployment, allowing systems to be installed externally with minimal disruption and removing the need for costly and complex internal sensor integration. Furthermore, its platform-agnostic design enables holistic sensing, capturing rich, system-level data across multiple components even without prior knowledge of the asset's specific architecture. By utilising this advanced technology and highly sensitive magnetic field detection, the system provides high-quality and actionable data that shifts the focus from simple anomaly detection toward advanced predictive and prescriptive maintenance.
As the winner of the POEMS Start-up Award, Exognis will receive a €2.500 voucher for specialised consultancy services from POEMS, spanning technology, business development, and funding advisory. The award was presented during the EpoSS Annual Forum, which took place in Braga on 16 and 17 June 2026.
