POEMS Bootcamp in Porto Aligns Strategy and Prepares Digital Platform Launch

On 12–13 October 2026, the POEMS consortium met in Porto for the POEMS Bootcamp, focused on aligning the project’s strategy for the coming years and preparing the launch of its digital platform, designed to connect Portugal’s semiconductor ecosystem.

The first day was dedicated to an internal working session with all project partners, centered on the implementation roadmap for the next stages of POEMS. The day concluded with a presentation by EuroCDP – European Design Platform, exploring how the national competence centre can support Portuguese companies and strengthen their connection to planned European initiatives.

The second day focused on engagement with national companies and ecosystem stakeholders, including start-ups, SMEs, large enterprises, sector clusters and regional authorities. POEMS presented the results of the Skills Survey conducted in July, while CCDR Centro shared its strategy for semiconductors and microelectronics in Portugal’s Centro Region. The session also explored how POEMS can act as a strategic partner in supporting regional initiatives and strengthening the national semiconductor ecosystem.

During the final session, POEMS presented a preview of the digital platform, gathering feedback from participants on its features, usability and added value for the community. This input will help refine the platform ahead of its launch, ensuring it responds to the needs of companies, research organisations and ecosystem partners across Portugal.
