POEMS Presented at the "Semiconductors: Opportunities and Challenges" Event

The POEMS project was publicly presented for the first time at the event “Semiconductors: Opportunities and Challenges”, organised by INL – the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, on 17 March 2025.

A key moment of the event was the discussion around the Portuguese Strategy for Semiconductors and the presentation of major regional and national initiatives, including POEMS – the Portuguese Competence Centre in Semiconductors.

Speakers and participants explored the essential factors for positioning Portugal within the European and global semiconductor ecosystems, covering topics such as available infrastructure, strategic investment, talent development, and the importance of international collaboration to drive innovation and growth in the national industry.

The event also featured several panel discussions, demonstrations and a poster session showcasing contributions from companies, universities, and research institutions from across the country.
